Students K-8: We want you to submit a video promoting Summer Reading Club using our script. You can tape your video at home, or arrange to come to the library where we will record a video of you.
The video should be no longer than 7 minutes in length and 2 GB in size, in MP4 format. The library will make your video fits this format if you bring us your tape, DVD, flash drive, or SD card. All videos will be given a lead in page and standard credits at the end.
This is a contest. Your videos will be posted to YouTube and public voting for the favorite video will be held. There is a place in the script for you to add a personal touch.
Completed videos should be submitted by May 5, 2011. Voting will run from mid May - June 30. Prizes will be determined after the winning video is selected (based on age of winner/s, group or individual submission). Prizes last year included a book and a restaurant gift card.
Assistance on video editing is available upon request. We will also reformat videos you submit. Bring us your raw footage and we will edit it for you. Sample videos can be viewed at www.youtube.com/carnegielibrary.
