Children

The Children’s Department is located in the first floor of the library. It has a great selection of new and classic children’s books including the most requested series. We also have graphic novels, books on CD, board books and more.

The Children’s Department Programs:

Toddler Time is from ages 0-36 months of age. This weekly program is on Thursdays at 10 am. One half-hour of nursery rhymes, songs, and stories designated to introduce early language skills. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver who stays with them during the session. Registration is not required.

Preschool Story Time is on Mondays at 6 pm in the Community Room. This program is for ages 2 years old to 6 years old. This program runs about a half hour each week. Children can attend independently or with their caregivers. Registration is not required. You can call 330-385-2048 ext. 2 for any questions.

Other special programs are offered periodically. Check the calendar for upcoming events.

Ohio Family Literacy

The Ohio Family Literacy website helps parents of preschoolers get their child ready for school.  It is based on the Every Child Ready to Read® practices of reading, writing, singing, talking, playing and counting.  On the site there are different fun skill-building activities for each day.
