"Carnegie Public Library is pleased to offer this service to its patrons," Director Melissa Percic said. "KnowItNow24x7 was the first online reference service to be available anywhere 24 hours a day, seven days a week and Carnegie Public Library is proud to be a part of that tradition." KnowItNow24x7 is also the busiest service of its kind in the world with an average of over 9,000 sessions per month and is funded by a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
Using KnowItNow24x7, residents of all ages of East Liverpool can chat in real-time with a librarian and ask questions on a variety of topics, find resources to help with homework, or get suggestions for leisure reading. KnowItNow24x7 can be accessed from www.knowitnow.org anywhere there is a computer with an Internet connection: from home, work, school, or even inside your local library.
