Do you or someone you know have an eBook reader or tablet? Point them in the direction of the library. The Carnegie Public Library offers you best-selling and classic audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video available 24/7 from the library’s eBook catalog, http://ohdbks.lib.overdrive.com/ or http://ohioebooks.org.
We have started having The Review digitized so that it is available online. There are many rolls of microfilm to digitize so it will be an long, ongoing project.
We have just added a few years to the website: http://carnegie.advantage-preservation.com. The dates are May 1, 2007 - December 31, 2010 and January 1, 2012 - April 30, 2015.
We will add more dates as we can afford them. Donations to help with the project would be greatly welcomed as it costs $90 to have a roll digitized and added to the website. Any donation amount is welcomed and may be sent to the Carnegie Public Library, 219 E 4th St, East Liverpool, OH 43920, Attn: Mary Deem.
Did you know that you can receive email or text notifications of requests that have arrived for you to pick up or when your books are almost due (or overdue)? (If you do not have “text messaging” as part of your service you may be charged by your cell phone provider for the text message.) Just stop in or call and we can add your cell phone number and/or email to our system. Emails can also be sent for checkout receipts. You will not be able to reply to the SMS message and the text message is brief. For example: Courtesy Notice for items due soon at your Library.
Can't decide which you would rather have? Give us both contacts and you will get a brief text and a more detailed email. We hope you will sign up for this great service.
