Enjoy eBooks, start here.

Do you or someone you know have an eBook reader or tablet? Point them in the direction of the library. The Carnegie Public Library offers you best-selling and classic audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video available 24/7 from the library’s eBook catalog,  http://ohdbks.lib.overdrive.com/ or http://ohioebooks.org.

You can browse the collection, check out with your library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. To get started with audio and video, you will need to install free software from OverDrive. To read eBooks use OverDrive Read, there is no app or software to install, just click 'Read' and start reading in your browser. Kindles do not need software but be sure to choose the Kindle titles in the collection (you will need to log into your Amazon account). Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees.

Drop in Craft is for children 2 to 8 years old. This is a casual program. You stop by the library any time of the day and do a small craft. Come to the library for a visit once per week.

Free Downloadable Music with a Library Card

The library is offering the service Freegal, which allows users to download three songs in mp3 file format each week from the library's website. The music you download is yours to keep. Freegal is a downloadable music service, like iTunes, available from Carnegie Public Library. Your access to the Sony Music Entertainment catalog offers hundreds of thousands of songs, more than 100 genres of music, and more than 50 record labels. No special software is needed to use the service, and there are no digital rights management restrictions. Click on the Freegal icon to get started. Enter your library card number and your PIN, the last 4 digits of your phone number.
